Abram Olson

About

Abram Olson is a photographer, printer, and tutor. He has been entranced by the natural world for most of his life.

In 2012, he graduated from the Creative Academy at  Seattle Central Community College with a certificate in Publishing Arts. Then he was the digital print manager at a small print shop in Seattle, Washington, for two years before moving to Vermont with Angela so she could attend the Center for Cartoon Studies (CCS).

In 2014, Abram was hired at CCS as an administrative assistant, but he quickly assumed the roles of print lab manager, IT guy, network administrator, photographer, and print methodology and techniques tutor. He is currently a key figure at the production lab in the Design Department at Western Washington University.

Abe also does freelance color correction work for Chelsea Green Publishing and offers one-on-one tutoring in photographic methods and techniques, the Adobe Creative Suite applications, and digital printing.

Previously, Abe taught classes at the AVA Gallery in Lebanon, New Hampshire. He pitched an Introduction to Adobe Lightroom class in 2015, and it was added to the curriculum for Winter 2016. Abe has also taught a class at AVA on how to take better pictures with your cell phone camera. A very popular topic!

Abe is obsessed with birds, and he spends every spare moment of his time photographing them.
